Speakuppharmacist is a digital platform created to confront the widespread underreporting and limited research on racial discrimination within the pharmacy profession. Recognising the need for a safe, credible, and community-led space, this platform empowers pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, students, and other pharmacy professionals to anonymously report incidents of discrimination, bullying, and bias.
Users can submit experiences categorised by sector (e.g., hospital, community, academia, industry) and geographical area, allowing for the identification of patterns and hotspots of inequality across the profession. These reports contribute to a growing, evidence-based resource that helps highlight the often-overlooked experiences of Black and other marginalised groups working in pharmacy.
By amplifying these voices and offering aggregated insights, Speakuppharmacist supports research, policy change, and accountability, while promoting inclusive leadership and organisational transparency. The platform also offers resources on allyship, equity frameworks, and signposting to support networks—making it both a reporting tool and a hub for education, empowerment, and systemic change.
